The Fascination Of Billionaires
When I speak of successful people, I usually mean very rich and wealthy people. For this article, I focused entirely on billionaires, because after all they are pretty rich and wealthy.
So what are some of the daily habits of successful people, or in this case the habits of billionaires?
Billionaires are known to take on incredible amounts of risk to reach their goals. A lot of them literally have an unusual rags to riches story to be admired. They started with nothing and built an empire.
Of course not all of them started from the very bottom and some of them had a massive amount of financial security through family behind them to back them up, but the fact is that a lot of them did.
The main reason for their success is something we can all copy. The simple three traits we should all learn to copy and imitate to achieve our own success are the following:
- Hard Work
So how do I convert those three habits to my current situation?
The harder you work to achieve your goal, the closer you’ll get to achieving it. I don’t think I could work any harder on my current business, since I’ve been writing an article a day and reading additional information and E-books, to see how to speed up and secure my process.
I’ve created a second website, on which I write a post or two a week which is a lot more work than I thought it would be. I’ve also started a small side course to learn more about online traffic and backlinking and I read up additional information from my community, since there is at least 1-3 good new blogposts with useful information.
Finally I’ve also started waking up an hour earlier to accomplish everything I set my mind to for the day.
My determination is the only fuel I got to keep me going. There is no way I could accomplish half of my tasks without determination. The more I work on my website the more I can see the end/goal getting closer.
Every so often I get to see a new success story within the Wealthy Affiliate community, which makes me want to be the next person to succeed.
The best part for me is talking to those people, that literally started and have been where I’m currently at right now. They usually love to share how they started making nothing for months without end and just before they considered giving up, they suddenly made some money.
That small sum was never to be seen again because every month, they somehow managed to beat their previous earnings and people that are in their early 20’s are making more money than I’ve ever made in my life.
It’s those success stories that help me stay determined and focused. I’ve considered to try other things on the side whilst continuing my site but that would distract me too much and I couldn’t give my full potential to my current site.
I guess that’s what determination is all about.
The word ‘resilience’ has played an important part in my life for a long time. Any successful person, whether it is in sports or cooking or creating businesses, had to be resilient in their life at some point or another.
If you give up when it gets too hard, then you will obviously never be at the top. It’s those at the top that fought the hardest and got back up when they got knocked down.
No matter how many people tell me to get a job to find financial security and try my business on the side, no matter how many doubters and no matter how many times I doubt myself, I won’t give up until I prove everyone (including myself) wrong.
There is enough evidence that affiliate marketing is a proven method to work. Almost every giant retailer online has an affiliate program for a reason.
Besides, I’ve seen countless earning reports myself to be so sure that I’d risk so much in order to succeed.
Why Taking Risks Is A Necessity
Taking risks is pretty much the only way great visions become reality. What I love about the ‘risk’ you take in affiliate marketing, is that you can barely call it a risk.
What entrepreneurs usually face and have to consider in their risks are:
- A big sum of money they have to invest
- Possibly taking loans
- Efficient team (bookie, consultants, partners, employers etc.)
- And many more
As an affiliate you have none of those. The only risks you’re facing are:
- Writers block
- Being organized
- Being Punctual
- And having a routine
There are no real threats and risks in affiliate businesses. Just pick a niche and apply to an affiliate program.
Once you’ve created and established your website the rest works on it’s own. All you have to do is maintain the site.
You Are What You Eat
It might not always seem like it, but the truth is, that more than half of the wealthy people have a very healthy lifestyle.
They exercise at least 4 times a week and eat less than 300 calories of junk per day.
Why would a healthy lifestyle influence your financial situation? Pretty simple answer.
Exercising helps you by boosting your energy levels and helping you sleep a lot better at night. Your mood will also drastically improve. The benefits of eating healthy speak for themselves.
Junk food usually doesn’t help you stay productive or make you feel good in general either.
If you have the ability to live a healthy lifestyle, you also have the ability to own a healthy bank account. Being healthy also needs you to be the above 3 points previously mentioned.
A diet can easily be broken with a single meal and a work out can only be as efficient as your determination and resiliency. If you have a good body, it is the result of continuing your hard efforts when others gave up.
The final habit most billionaires share that I love enforcing, is that they constantly expand their knowledge.
Reading is one of the most powerful weapons for your brain and wealth creation.
In the beginning I mentioned how I try to read as much as I can to improve my knowledge within my business. The truth is, I wish I could read more. I don’t find the time to read enough about current affairs and general news because currently I just want to focus so hard on my business.
But that’s ok I guess. Warren Buffet who’s in his mid 80’s and one of the richest men in the world, reads around 5.5 hours a day. That’s an impressive amount of time devoted to reading.
The more you know about what you want to get involved in, the better you can fight off competition or join new trends.
I think that too many people underestimate the power of knowledge and just look for a quick way to succeed.
Personally I read blogposts of other members and their success stories to see how I can copy their success. There are millions of other affiliates with similar websites but they all have something unique that creates their success.
I want to be able to take a bit of knowledge from all of them and implement it into my website. A website combined with all the information for myself and others to create a staggering amount of wealth is the goal I want to achieve.
What are your thoughts on these habits of the highly rich? Do you think they are exaggerated or do they justify their wealth? Do you share any common traits or do you think they are just lucky coincidences?
